Harlem Renissance

Over 300,000 African Americans moved from the south to the north, many moved to Harlem.  The Harlem Renaissance was a culturally rich time, producing monumental music, fashion, art, and literature. Many women wore professional clothing during the day, such as hats and blazers, but at night wore sparkles, lace, and pearls.
